Electric Forest is back and better than ever! With a lineup consisting of Louis the Child, CloZee, Dom Dolla, Porter Robinson, Disclosure, and much more all in the same festival, how could you resist?
You know when a concert or event is so good that you want to come back the next year, and even every year after? Unfortunately, Electric Forest groupies had to miss their beloved festival two years in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, fans can be excited that their favorite festival is coming back in 2022 with an incredible lineup.
Electric Forest 2022
The eclectic festival will be making its return on June 23-26th in a forest within Rothbury, Michigan, about a three hour drive away from Detroit/Ann Arbor. Electric Forest has a diverse lineup filled with EDM, jam bands, pop, hip-hop, and more.
Names on the bill that excite the RMR team include Liquid Stranger, Subtronics, Big Wild, Slander, LSDream, Surf Mesa, and EARTHGANG. In fact, this lineup reminds us a lot of Suwannee Hulaween, which was one of our favorite festivals of the year. This is especially because of the three sets by the renowned The String Cheese Incident. But, also because of the balanced mix of electronic DJs (many underground) and jam bands, with just a hint of hip-hop, pop, and other genres.

Experiences and History
The festival, which is put on by Insomniac and Madison House, is centered around camping, music, and other events that encompass the electric festival spirit. Along with the performances, there will be a silent disco, daily yoga, and curated events to explore with festival friends.
The original event debuted in 2008 under the name Rothbury Festival, and it focused on jam bands and rock bands. In subsequent years, the event name changed in 2011 and became the Electric Forest Festival. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
