Doja Cat Planet Her NFT Collection
26,000 limited-edition Planet Doja tokens were released this past September on OneOf. The collection included Gold tier Flower tokens, Platinum tier Elemental tokens, and Diamond tier Elemental tokens. Purchasing a Gold tier NFT in this collection gave owners a chance to win a Doja Cat concert ticket. Platinum tier NFTs came with a chance for a “VIP golden ticket” that includes concert tickets and VIP experiences. The Diamond tier Elemental token comes with a guaranteed VIP golden ticket.
After purchasing Doja Cat’s NFT, you become a “founding Kittizen” of Planet Doja. Founders gain access to the Planet Doja Discord community, where they can interact daily for a chance to win rewards.
Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Band: Kingship
This year Universal Music Group signed four Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT avatars as the first NFT-based metaverse band called Kingship. This is possible because ownership of a BAYC NFT ape gives you the right to do whatever you want with it. Meaning you could make merchandise, put it as your profile picture, and even start a band with the ape faces. Kingship will perform within video games, VR experiences, and other metaverse events. Eventually, the label wants to release a line of digital collectibles and merchandise.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, one of most successful NFT collections to date, are owned by many celebrities such as include Post Malone, Jimmy Fallon, and Steph Curry.
The Game’s NFT Card Collection
Compton Rapper The Game partnered with OneOf to release his genesis collection in October. The NFT cards, inspired by the rapper’s hobbies, passions, and album releases, had three drops. The NFT collection includes the “Get in the The Game,” “Elevated The Game,” and “Master The Game” packs. Each NFT purchased gets a pack of four different cards.

3LAU NFT Collection
3LAU has been a long time experimenter with NFTs. He co-founded the first crypo-powered music festival in 2018 and sold his Ultraviolet album as an NFT, generating over $11.6 million in online sales in under 24 hours. His latest project allowed fans to co-own the song, “Worst Case. ” This meant fans could receive 50% of the track’s royalties, divided among the top 333 members who won early access. Now, whenever “Worst Case” is played, it makes many people richer.
Timbaland NFT Collection
Musician and producer Timbaland released an NFT collection composed of pieces from his EP, Opera Noir, and more. Each song from the Opera Noir EP inspired the creation of five to eight different NFTs. In other words, the collection included 50 – 90 digital collectibles per song. Additionally, fans had an opportunity to receive part of Timbaland’s collection for free.

This year, The Weeknd joined the Autograph.io Board of Directors to help shape the future of the NFT space. Additionally, in November, the Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” became the number one song on Billboard’s “Greatest Songs of All Time Hot 100” chart. Because of this, Billboard and Autograph.io collaborated with him to create physical and digital NFTs, respectively.
By buying a card, there’s a chance to receive a non-numbered card, a card foil numbered out of 500, a card foil numbered out of 100, a hand-signed autograph card foil numbered out of 10, and a hand-signed autograph card foil numbered one of one. Each pack includes one random trading card from the collection and an information card breaking down the chart data.
Snoop Dogg NFT
Snoop Dogg, an entertainment icon and an award-winning entertainer, is no stranger to the metaverse. This year, Snoop Dogg‘s NFT collaboration, “Decentral Eyes Dogg,” received bids higher than $771,000. The NFT depicts a portrait of Snoop Dogg created in a collage of 10 different images of his face throughout, all inspired by his musical journey. Importantly, Snoop recorded new audio exclusively for this artwork.

Grimes NFT
2021 was a crazy year for Grimes. Not only did she go through a break-up with Elon Musk, but she also made $6 million from selling NFTs.
Her collection of 10 pieces went up for sale on Nifty Gateway on February 28th, with collections ranging from one of-a-kinds to thousands of copies. A one-of-a-kind music video called “Death of the Old” that involves flying cherubs, a cross, a sword, and glowing lights, sold for nearly $389,000. Her other NFTs titled “Earth” and “Mars” are also short music videos featuring their titular planet with a giant cherub over it holding a weapon.
Steve Aoki NFT
Being a fashion designer, author, and artist with nearly 3 billion music streams, Steve Aoki has undeniably had a successful career. To add to that success, Steve Aoki auctioned off an NFT titled “hairy” that sold for just under a million dollars. The artwork features a gif of a pink and blue human-like character shaking its head to show off its fur physics, complete with trippy glasses.
Don Diablo NFT
DJ Don Diablo dropped the first full-concert film as a crypto asset through SuperRare and earned $1.26 million at auction. The project name is Destination Hexagonia and it features more than just futuristic visuals. In addition to ownership of the NFT, the highest bidder received a physical USB stick containing the file. Diablo said it took a year to plan the concert.
