“Upper Room” by Lil Yee
Released on the Unbreakable (deluxe) album, “Upper Room” is a stand-out track in the mix. The album features Jane Handcock, PnB Rock, and Babyface Ray, but on this song, Lil Yee raps solo. Not surprisingly though, out of the whole deluxe album, this song has garnered the most hype. Specifically, it has over 185,000 plays on Spotify and 471,000 views on the music video on YouTube at the time this was written. In the song, Lil Yee boasts about the cost of his outfit in his lyrics. Additionally, in the music video, the aforementioned wealth is displayed, proving he’s really got it.
The music video features the dripped-out artist seen shopping in Las Vegas, walking around a mansion, surrounded by men with guns, and alone in a room with chains. The stark visuals and the catchy song combine to create a vibe that says, “fuck it, I’m rich,” and when listening to the song, it may make you feel that way. Fans have dropped over a hundred comments on the video and are still going crazy for the song; one even said, “you been shoulda’ blown up…the illest one of the greatest songs in the west coast if not the whole damn country.”
You can find the “Upper Room” track on several streaming sites, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Soundcloud, and more.
