MJ Unpacked St. Louis Takes Over Missouri - 3 Major Takeaways From This Year

MJ Unpacked St. Louis Takes Over Missouri – 3 Major Takeaways From This Year

The MJ Unpacked St. Louis showroom floor contained tremendous value. It only takes a few minutes on LinkedIn to see numerous posts sharing the value and demonstrating excitement coming from Missouri’s legal market. For me and numerous others, the event was a hit. The MJ Unpacked St. Louis tradeshow was amazing and filled with opportunities that built new relationships and pushed business further down the pipeline. We’re already looking forward to their next event in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

It’s clear Missouri-based retailers have a lot to be excited about when it comes to stocking their shelves with incredible products. With brands like WYLD, Illicit Brands, Gron, Kushy Punch, Stiiizy, Dialed In Gummies, and other major companies all in attendance, MJ Unpacked St. Louis will definitely go down as one of the pivotal ones in the grand scheme of national cannabis history.

3 Takeaways From MJ Unpacked St. Louis

MJ Unpacked St. Louis was one of the best national cannabis events out there.
One of my favorite parts about this year’s event was the intention placed into the panels. If you asked the MJ Unpacked team about the value of their panels, every single show they’re going to excitedly share their enthusiasm and support for the people who make their sessions so valuable.

Normally I’m not someone who spends much time in the sessions but this year they had all kinds of wonderful humans up on stage. Some of the most inspiring, impactful, and informative people I know from my cannabis journies are Diana Eberlein of SORSE, Annie Davis of AIRO Brands, Luna Stower of Ispire, Jeremy Klettke of Davis Farms, Hirsh Jain of Ananda Strategy, Jesce Horton of LOWD, and Seth Yakatan of Katan Associates, and each of these people graced the various stages to share their knowledge and push the industry forward.

Some of the major exhibitors at this year’s MJ Unpacked St. Louis show included Stiiizy, one of the most respected retailers and CPG brands in the world, Treez, one of the top point-of-sale, ecommerce, and data analytics companies in the industry, Proper, one of Missouri’s most respected retailers and brands, Melt-to-Make, an ingredients and flavor company for edibles, Seedtalent, a top learning management system for retailers and brands, plus a ton of other brands and resources for growers, extractors, retailers, and other businesses in the space.

Although these are just some of the standouts in terms of people and brands, the reason why MJ Unpacked is so great is because it is highly curated, not too big or too busy, and really hones in on the value of who physically attends their events.

Curio Hotel Union Station is one of the coolest venues in the country.
The Curio Hotel Union Station isn’t your standard convention center. The former Union Railway Station has been an architectural icon since 1894 and it still stands tall in downtown St. Louis. The elegant archways and epic stained glass windows make this place as memorable as it comes.

The showroom floor was housed in an area that still had the buzzing energy from the old railway days. The catered food was delicious. The bar and restaurant area was busy with networking from the morning until late into the evening. The vibes and energy at the show were overall pretty perfect for networking and creating new opportunities.

Missouri brings the fire.
The legal smoke was loud at the last MJ Unpacked of 2024. St. Louis didn’t disappoint when it comes to quality. Dabs, vapes, edibles, and flower – there was something really good for everyone.

MJ Unpacked’s dispensary partner was Show Me Organics dispensary called Blue Sage Cannabis Deli and their team had really great products. Their brand of flower is called Vivid and they had Florida Kush live resin badder and indoor flower 8ths that were honestly really really good. The terps were on point plus the other brands they sold at their St. Louis dispensary were all really impressive too.

Illicit Brands was another company we visited with while we were in Missouri. Before MJ Unpacked we visited their facility near Kansas City and also spent time at their dispensary From The Earth. Illicit’s flower, rosin, edibles, and vapes were all super impressive so far! That BluMosa rosin goes crazy!

Cloud Cover Cannabis invited the RMR squad out to visit their facility and pull up on their High Profile dispensaries too. Their joint packs, flower, and dispensary experience were all top notch in terms of terps, potency, and customer service at the retail locations.

Last but not least, the homies over at Shang Ri La also invited us out to check out their cultivation and manufacturing facility, as well as their dispensary. We were blessed with the oportunity to see the plants used for the Borealis product line that is available at Shang Ri La dispensaries, and we even got to try some of the Super Boof flower. Between the cultivation, dispensary, and terpenes from the Borealis Super Boof, every part of my experience was out of this world.

Needless to say, Missouri has fire cannabis products and a community that is passionate, driven, and committed to bringing championship quality cannabis to the people who live there, and to those who visit in the future.

Big shoutout to MJ Unpacked St. Louis for another amazing show!
