Soon after launching in California in June of 2020, Method Man is taking his cannabis brand TICAL to more markets. You may recognize this name from the rapper’s debut solo album in 1994. It stands for, “Taking Into Consideration All Lives.” This furthermore represents is a “movement, lifestyle, and swagger,” that encourages change and conversations about racial injustice and equality.
In order to provide the best products, TICAL partners with California-based cannabis growers. Clone Guy Industries presently develop TICAL’s exclusive strains. This past Friday, Method Man and TICAL debuted a line of premium cannabis flower in Colorado in partnership with Boulder-based Vera Cultivation. Three strains are offered: Sweet Grease, Free MAC, and Orange Cookie Kush.
Personally, it is essential that we use our brand to help bring awareness to the social, systemic and economic injustice in communities that have struggled with oppressive mass incarceration and racially-biased policing procedures.

TICAL’s debut in Colorado happens just in time for Method Man’s trip to the Rocky Mountains for a string of concerts solo and with Wu-Tang Clan.
In a recent interview with The New York Post, Method Man announced that he is soon taking TICAL to his home state of New York in 2022. With the newly legalized adult-use market, Method Man is entering during a crucial time. He tells the New York publication that TICAL aims to, “tackle racial injustice by offering job opportunities to residents in communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.”
Strains that TICAL will offer in New York include the same three as Colorado. Additionally, they will offer Spazzola, C.R.E.A.M., Gold Tang and Crowd Walker.
I’m particularly excited about TICAL’s focus and leadership in the cannabis space in working with Black, Women, and Minority-owned partners from cultivation to dispensaries.
