Mesill4Real the Tacoma MC just dropped a video for his hot single titled, Drop Phone Home. This track could be his rawest work yet; another film put together by Tacoma cinematic producers IFE+BONOHO, the duo helps Mesill get his message across as he calls out some of the music artists that seem to hop on the mic and “spit babble and think you only need a hook and a beat to kill it.” Later on in the video he addresses political issues that are present in America today, which can be seen in the video as Mesill stands tall as a sort of political figure.
In order to really understand Mesill’s art, it’s important to walk in with an open mind. Song after song he pushes a really hard and intelligent message and everything he lays is on top of a super unique beat. If you start to listen to his work and try to understand what he’s looking to portray versus just on the surface, I think he might turn into the next MC that you would love to see live in concert.
