“LOST IN TRANSLATION” arrives as the final song to be released ahead of Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold. The album officially arrives August 28 through Solid State Records. Accompanied by a new visualizer, the single offers another look at an album that has gradually revealed just how much ground Colorblind is willing to cover.
The band takes a more restrained and vulnerable approach, creating a song centered around the isolation that can exist even when others are experiencing many of the same struggles.

“Lost In Translation” Explores The Battles We Keep To Ourselves
“LOST IN TRANSLATION” was actually one of the earlier songs written for Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold, making its placement near the end of the album rollout especially interesting. At its core, the song explores the disconnect between the struggles happening internally and the experiences people actually communicate with one another.
Vocalist Travis Moseley explained the idea behind the track:
“I’m fighting this battle by myself, trapped inside my own head. But the weird part is, we’re probably all caught in the same illusion, even when we feel it alone.”
It’s a simple realization that carries plenty of weight.
People can become convinced that their struggles are completely isolated while everyone around them may be dealing with similar feelings behind closed doors. “LOST IN TRANSLATION” takes that contradiction and turns it into something listeners can connect with without forcing an easy resolution.
Musically, Colorblind surrounds that subject matter with a colorful and calming atmosphere. An understated pulse provides the foundation while Moseley’s emotional vocal performance carries much of the song’s impact. Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold represents the culmination of a journey that began nearly a decade ago.
Colorblind formed in Austin, Texas, in 2017 with Travis Moseley on vocals, Tyler Moseley on drums, Nicholas Asper on bass, and Justin Page on guitar. Instead of immediately rushing toward a debut album, the quartet spent years developing its identity through independent releases, touring, and a steady stream of singles.
Early material, including the band’s self titled EP and songs like “Ghosts,” established the deeply personal writing style that would eventually become a defining element of Colorblind’s music. That foundation expanded as songs like “Motionless,” “Needle Eye,” and “Letdown” introduced the group to a much larger audience.
Collectively, Colorblind’s music has now generated more than 30 million streams, turning what started as an independent Texas project into one of the emerging names to watch within modern alternative and heavy music.
“Neversleep” And “Chemical Warfare” Push The Band Forward
The months leading into the debut album have brought some of Colorblind’s biggest momentum yet.
“Neversleep” became a major fan favorite and helped introduce another wave of listeners to the band. More recently, “Chemical Warfare” pushed that growth even further as Colorblind surpassed 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

The quartet will return to the road this fall alongside Catch Your Breath, giving fans another opportunity to experience material from Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold in a live setting. By then, audiences will finally have the complete album rather than the individual pieces Colorblind has revealed throughout its rollout.
