[11:30PM Press Conference Update] The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has officially announced that there were 2 casualties and 3 injured at Beyond Wonderland, including the gunmen. No other information regarding the shooter has been released yet.
[BREAKING NEWS] Tens of thousands of fans from all across the nation trekked out to the Gorge to attend Beyond Wonderland this weekend. However, the festival faced an emergency situation around 9PM on Saturday night due to an active shooter on site. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office issued an emergency alert for all attendees there to seek cover and run, hide, or fight the suspect.

Supposedly, the incident happened on the campgrounds, and it’s reported that there were multiple injured on site. The shooter was taken into custody around 9:19PM. The festival continued inside the venue as most attendees were blissfully unaware of the situation. More details are yet to be released and it’s unclear whether Beyond Wonderland will resume for day two.
This is an incredibly frustrating situation as there was a potential active shooter that had also threatened another event at the Gorge last year around the same time but was detained prior to entering the venue. An event like this greatly impacts the community and creates deep wounds. If you know people who are attending the festival this weekend, please check in on them. We will provide updates as additional details are released.
