Willie Nelson’s name is synonymous with weed. He apparently smoked weed on the roof of the White House with Jimmy Carter’s son. It only made sense that he would also start his own company with the legalization in Washington. There are numerous grow operations that grow Willie’s products. Northwest Harvesting Co. produces this specific strain for Willie’s Reserve. Owned and operated by Brandon Oppegaard of Elma, Washington, their vision of cannabis aligns very closely with Willies.
Sunset Sherbet is a strain I have never heard of before. It is an indica strain according to the label. Leafly states that it is an indica leaning hybrid with a variety of genetics bred into it. I am hoping for all of the positives from the indica strain. With only one day until Christmas vacation, I could use the relaxation.
The nugs are a frosty green with a minimal amount of orange hairs appears on the buds. When they are cracked open a sweet smell is released, very similar to Sherbet ice cream. I did not anticipate the lack of hairs taking away from the quality of the buds. They felt fresh in my hands and did not crumble when I broke them apart.
This smoke was not harsh at all. Each puff tasted as good as the last. I did not notice the sativa side of the strain at all. I spent my evening locked onto my couch, dreading my final day of work before break. My head was heavy. I had no attention span, and felt like I was moving in slow motion. This strain is a perfect way to unwind after a long day at work this holiday season.
