I’ve only been writing strain reviews for Respect My Region since September. In that time I’ve visited two weed farms and smoked a wider variety of Cannabis than ever before. These five strains are my top strains of 2017. These strains are the ones that I still purchase and recommend to my friends when they ask what they should be smoking.
Grape Ape – Mad Mark Farms
I toured Mad Mark Farms at the end of October. I’ve had the opportunity to smoke Grape Ape from other producers. Mad Mark’s is the only one that is consistent. The flavor is always perfect and the smoke is smooth. I have never had an unsatisfied friend after recommending Grape Ape to them. Cheese – HempKings
Cheese from HempKings makes my top strains list because despite missing the signature smell. Either way, the potency of this strain was amazing. It is proof that smell alone doesn’t always dictate the quality of a good cannabis strain. This mood elevating weed might be perfect for ringing in your New Year with a fat blunt. White Skywalker – t.h.sea
This potent Indica was what I smoked the second time I saw Star Wars. The White Skywalker is one of the more couch locking Indica strains that I have had the opportunity to smoke. It is a sticky lemon-mint smelling bud that provides a highly desired relaxed stoned effect. I felt like I was melting into the theatre seats when the movie first started. Dutch Haze – Falcanna
This cross between Dutch Treat and Lemon Haze is an energizing Sativa that was perfect for my first trip to Dave and Busters. An invigorating high, free from any form of anxiety and the munchies Dutch Haze became one of my favorites after just a few uses. Lodi Dodi – Soulshine Cannabis
A hybrid of Trainwreck and a strain from the haze family, Lodi Dodi is an almost perfect hybrid strain with the best qualities from both Indica and Sativa strains alike A sweet aroma permeated my apartment when I cracked open this bag. Read my full Lodi Dodi review here.
These are my top weed strains from 2017. I highly recomend that you continue to check out these strains and products from these growers. The quality of their pot is consistent and the effects have been fairly consistent over the course of the last 4 months. With this strains, I’m confident you can find something to fit any budget.
