After nearly three years of waiting for the official release, fans can finally hear the track “Waiting For Tomorrow” by Martin Garrix and Pierce Fulton. This track has been played at festivals for quite some time now, so it’s definitely familiar to fans. However, the official release has been long-awaited since 2016, and the addition of a music video is all the more exciting.
“Waiting For Tomorrow” features vocalist Mike Shinoda, whose deep voice brings a richness to the track that couldn’t be achieved otherwise. The high-energy, festival-anthem vibe of the track is encapsulated in the immensely powerful drops.
The powerful energy in “Waiting For Tomorrow” is driven partially by the uplifting message heard within. The lyrics preach hope even in times of darkness, the verses before the chorus saying: “The night is cold/but the sun will rise.” The song brings words of encouragement that even when faced a tough decision or the end of a journey (“the road is finally ending”), there is a new day on the other side of the struggle.
The message of “Waiting For Tomorrow” is backed by the artistic video to accompany it. The video shows a person escaping from a barren world, eventually finding themselves on a beach where they see out to the ocean. Then, in the end, a futuristic door opens for them – and they seem to be at peace at the end of their journey.
Maybe the track should be renamed to “Waiting For Three Years” after the long, long wait for the official release. Regardless, we’re stoked about this song finally being out in the wild to listen to and enjoy along with a top-notch video.
“Waiting For Tomorrow” comes from Martin Garrix’s newest EP, BYLAW, now available on all major music platforms.
