UNITE Initivate Releases DROWN (Haus Mix) With Roc Nation To Help Raise Funds Supporting Mental Health

According to a 2022 survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation and CNN, one-third of respondents could not get the mental health services they need. This unmet demand highlights the critical need for innovative solutions like DROWN (Haus Mix). The song, produced by the nonprofit 501(c)(3) UNITE Initiative, is a movement for positive social change.

Though nonprofits aren’t usually linked to connecting influential figures, music, and corporate brands to create lasting economic opportunities, the Atlanta-based UNITE Initiative is changing that with its mission to fund community mental health resources.

“By harnessing the influence and impact of Millennials and Gen-Z, we strive to establish lasting sources of community funding and drive positive social change within our Unite Impact Communities worldwide.” – Suliman Chillis, Executive Director of Unite Initiative Corporation

The initiative to UNITE creativity and mental health

Impacting 13 communities across the United States, UNITE harnesses the power of creative industries like music and film to shed light on critical issues affecting communities nationwide. By leveraging the arts, Millennials and Gen-Z are empowered to drive sustainable revenue that fuels community funding.

One shining example of UNITE’s innovative approach is the DROWN (Haus Mix) project, a remix produced by Through The Static. This reimagined track, featuring Storm Ford, Jaylon Ashaun, and Joyce Mabhena, was recorded at the legendary Stankonia Studio and distributed by Roc Nation’s independent distribution company.

By infusing this project with both talent and purpose, the song invites listeners to transform pain into joy, encouraging them to dance away stress and find peace of mind through music.

You can help make a difference by simply pressing play.

It’s a direct contribution to the future of community mental health. The success of UNITE’s model raises important questions about scalability and replication in other sectors. As creative industries continue to intersect with social causes, the potential grows for similar initiatives to address a wide range of community challenges, from education to economic development.

But UNITE’s vision goes beyond just one song. Their commitment encompasses a broad spectrum of community issues such as mental health, food cultivation, mentorship, and more. In line with this holistic approach, UNITE is excited to pair the release of Mind Of The City, a docu-series dedicated to amplifying mental health awareness and advocacy across each of our impact cities, with their ongoing initiatives.

Through its musical endeavors, UNITE is committed to addressing a wide range of community issues, including mental health, food cultivation, mentorship, community beautification, arts in education, homelessness, financial literacy, and environmental sustainability. To further amplify mental health awareness and advocacy, we will release Mind Of The City, a docu-series highlighting the state of mental health in each of our impact cities. Be sure to check out Heart Of The City as well.

This strategy is reflective of a larger trend in social entrepreneurship where creative industries serve as powerful agents for change. As UNITE’s model continues to gain traction, its scalability and potential for replication in other sectors present a compelling case for art being central to community development.

Every Stream Has Major Impact
