Welcome to our first installment of Trap Tuesday! We’re bringing you the best local and main stream trap songs every week! Today, we’ve spotlighted new tracks from artists Montell2099 and Crystalize.
Montell2099 is an artist everyone and their mother should be hearing about. Well, all the cool moms anyway. Montell has been blowing up in the trap world since he released “Hunnid On The Drop,” with 21 Savage, back in June.
Montell2099’s most recent single, “SUSU,” sounds like a mix of experimental and tribal trap. As if it’s coming straight from the jungle, this track builds on its funky distorted beat and plethora of animal-like noises, some of which are pretty hard to identify. Montell’s creative trap prowess is well revealed in this weird, experimental trap odyssey.

Crystalize is another artist currently on the rise. This heavy hitting flip of RL Grime’s “Core” takes the track in a whole new direction. By 51 seconds in, I was hooked and ready to listen on repeat, making this song a clear choice for Trap Tuesday.
Check out what Crystalize had to say about his flip, below.
“This has always been one of the first trap songs that really captured people’s attention when it first came out so I wanted to recapture people’s hearts by bringing it back with a new Flip”
