Watching an artist perform in front of a crowd of 7,000 plus people is always an incredible sight, but it’s an even more surreal feeling when it’s a person you’ve been invested in as a fan. That was how I was feeling when I watched G-Eazy perform the sold-out ShoWare Center.
G has quickly risen to fame and found success following the drop of his sophomore album When It’s Dark Out. Following the album, he put out a series of successful singles. In the past couple of years, G-Eazy has performed at smaller venues including The Crocodile, The Showbox, and WaMu. I was emotional and proud to watch him take on a venue as big as the Kent ShoWare Center. Being able to shoot this show was a long time coming for me, and the highlight of my year so far.
Throughout the night, G-Eazy performed a mix of classic hits, popular collaboration tracks, and tracks from his newest album, The Beautiful and Damned. The show was well-executed with a lot of thought put behind everything. The large screen where visuals were displayed meticulously hid the other musicians on the keys and drums. The entire set was split into acts, like a play. It was split into three – The Beautiful, The Damned, and The Epilogue. Along with other visual effects such as the CO2 and bright lights, the show was a feast for the senses.
The ShoWare Center Made For A Great Setting
The tour continues in other cities across America and you can still get tickets for some of the shows here. I recommend not missing out if he’s coming to a city near you!
