Sample composers have forever changed hip-hop. Gone are the days on putting records on mixtapes and not clearing samples. But the days of sampling will never truly leave the genre. Producers have taken notes by a wave partially credited to Frank Dukes and the Kingsway Music Library. In which producers and composers create songs with the intention of being sampled by any producer. In a time where we need change, several producers are giving back to the Black Lives Matter movement in a major way. Two solid groups of producers have given us some booming sample packs to create powerful art.
The work is then guaranteed sample clearance with a usual free ability to use for independent/underground artists. But it still includes royalty splits on major label placements. This is an incredibly fair deal that stimulates the creative economy. It also provides viable ways for everyone to eat off their contribution to a hit record.
Some of the hottest producers in the sample creation game have come together recently to support the Black Lives Matter movement. From organization donations, bail funds, and more, two different groups put out brand new sample libraries with 100% of the proceeds from these projects the producers give back straight to the cause.
Never have I seen so many composers come together for a project, let alone heavy-hitters like this. All producers out there, cop a kit to get some creative jet fuel and contribute back to the crucial mission at hand. Artists! These may be worth it to purchase and create songs around with producers if you like to get hands-on. These producers have placed a LOT of platinum albums.
Give back and make some fire.
