6 Florida Weed Dispensaries that Offer Rosin

6 Florida Weed Dispensaries that Offer Rosin

Since first being legalized in 2014, the medicinal cannabis program in Florida has greatly expanded. It used to be that only low-THC products were allowed to be sold, greatly limiting the amount of products available. Nowadays, laws have changed, and a much larger variety of cannabis products are able to be sold now. Some of the products offered in Florida include flower, vape cartridges, edibles, crumble, kief, shatter, lotion, inhalers, bubble hash, disposable vapes, and even more. In this article we are highlighting one of the most expensive products offered: rosin.

What is rosin?

Rosin is an extract that is created when avoiding the use of solvents to extract and separate trichomes from the plant matter. Instead, it is extracted using pressure. This extraction method makes it the purest form of cannabis concentrate. Due to the terpenes that are preserved through the delicate extraction process, this is the pinnacle of cannabis concentrates.

There are two types of rosin, HSO (solvent-less hash oil) rosin and live rosin. HSO rosin uses flower or kief that has been dried. Live rosin on the other hand uses bubble hash from freshly harvested flower (utilizing water to extract the bubble hash first). This form of oil concentrate can be consumed just like any other concentrate, including in a rig, nectar collector, and e-pen.

Where can I purchase rosin?

Rosin does come at a high price tag, but the purity of the extract may certainly make it worth it. Based off of the lack of stock available most of the time, it is fair to say that this is a very popular product. This product can be hard to find as it is only available at less than half of Florida dispensaries. This guide will help you pinpoint exactly what dispensaries offer rosin. If they don’t have any in stock now, check back with them daily in the mornings.

6 Florida Weed Dispensaries that Offer Rosin

Trulieve

It’s no surprise that the largest cannabis brand in the state was the first to start offering rosin. Trulieve partners with Blue River to offer two types of rosin, Cold Cure Live Rosin and SHO Rosin.

The Cold Cure Live Rosin is available for $95 per gram. Previous strains that have been available include Stardawg and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. SHO Rosin is available for $75 per gram. Previous strains that have been available include Papaya Cake and Dutch Hawaiian. Blue River Rosin is also offered as a half gram vape cartridge for $60.

With almost 100 dispensaries throughout the whole state, this may be your best bet when looking for rosin.

Müv

Müv came right after Trulieve as the next dispensary offering rosin. Though Müv has less than half the locations as Trulieve, rosin may be easier to come across at these dispensaries. Müv offers 1 gram of Live Ice Water Extract Rosin for $85, which is previously lowered from $95.

“Cannabis flower is harvested and immediately frozen to retain the plant’s living terpene profile. Trichomes are isolated from the flash-frozen whole flower using ice water extraction, which removes the resinous trichomes without bringing unwanted plant material.”

They also have wonderful customer service, always answering phone calls in a timely manner. That being said, here’s a tip. Even if there is no rosin listed on the website, give them a call and they may be able to hook you up. Sometimes there are products available that are in low stock so they are not listed online, but they’re still able to be reserved over the phone.

Grow Healthy

Grow Healthy no doubt offers some of the most premium weed products in the whole state of Florida. Whether it’s their own products or a partnering brand that they offer, they set their standards high, and elevate industry standards.

“We value purity over potency, safety over sales, and wellness over whatever’s trending.”

Grow Healthy’s website

Grow Healthy has partnered with the beloved concentrate brand, MPX (Melting Point Extracts), to offer meticulously crafted live rosin. 1 gram of this extract costs $80, and it’s only stocked in small batches. MPX Live Rosin is offered in many of Grow Healthy’s popular strains including Queso Perro, White 99, and Islamorada.

One Plant

One Plant was also one of the earlier pioneers of rosin in Florida. They only have eight physical locations, but they offer delivery around the majority of the state. Despite the lesser amount of brick-and-mortars, One Plant seems to keep their rosin stocked more often than most.

One Plant offers two types of rosin, Live Rosin Fresh Pressed 90U and Live Rosin Cold Cure Badder, both 1 gram for $105. They offer both in multiple strains including Apple Fritter and M.A.C.1. They also offer half gram live rosin cartridges for $80 in strains like Chem D and Dolato.

Columbia Care

Columbia Care is one of the few weed brands in Florida that is also available in over a dozen other states, making it a sort of household name in the cannabis industry. They started offering rosin more recently than the previous dispensaries mentioned. They only offer HSO rosin, which comes as 1 gram for $75. The consistency of their rosin is reportedly closer to wax than typical rosin, but nonetheless it is still high-quality, solvent-less rosin.

They have great customer service and are always more than happy to provide further information on a product, strain, or terpenes. A tip for next time you stop by, ask to see their booklet that describes all of the terpenes in their products.

Surterra

Surterra is the latest Florida dispensary to join the rosin train. And they’ve taken a slightly different approach than every other dispensary offering rosin in Florida. Instead of selling it in the standard 1 gram packaging, they are offering it as half grams. This is a game changer because it allows consumers to try more of a variety of strains.

They offer both rosin and live rosin. For $35 you can grab yourself half gram of rosin, and for $45 you can buy yourself half a gram of live rosin.

Since they began offering rosin a couple of weeks ago, it is hard to tell if they will be able to keep up with the demand and keep it in stock. Though, a great thing about Surterra’s online menu is that it shows exactly how many are left of a product when it’s in low stock.
