Florida has loads of famous artists like Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, and Bobby Shmurda coming from the Miami area, but what about Orlando? 3 Rappers From Orlando You Need To Have On Your Radar
9lokkNine
Cash Money Records rapper 9lokkNine got his start by releasing his first mixtape, Kold Face Kold Case, in 2018. He then blew up when his song “10 Percent,” received over 34 million views on YouTube. In the same year, 9lokkNine collaborated with fellow Florida rapper YNW Melly on “223’s,” which peaked at number 34 on the Billboard “Hot 100.” With the topics he raps about and the confidence in his voice, he has an almost Kodak Black sound to his music. His latest single, “Face Alligator,” came out in late August; which is one of the most Florida titles we’ve seen yet.
HOTBOII
HOTBOII grew up in Pine Hills, which is one of most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Orlando.
His breakout single “Don’t Need Time,” released in 2020, has amassed over 65 million views on YouTube. The song gives Rod Wave’s “Heart on Ice” vibes because of its somber subject but hard delivery. Its popularity spawned a remix featuring Lil Baby that went on to get over 11 million views. HOTBOII is signed to Geffen Records, Interscope Records, and Rebel Music, in conjunction with 22 Entertainment and Hitmaker Music Group. That’s a lot of signings!

LPB Poody
LPB Poody, also known as LightPoleBaby Poody, released his first song when he was just 12. Afterwards he was in and out of juvenile detention and jail from ages 13 to 18. He has a Florida rapper flow and also sounds a little like Kodak Black with his heavy lyrics and delivery.
LPB Poody is most known for his songs “Address It” and “Batman.” Poody released “Address It” because of beef with 9lokknine, and it blew up on TikTok. “Batman” blew up to reach the ears of Moneybagg Yo and Lil Wayne, who hopped on the remix. Each song has over 35 million plays on Spotify.
