Rapper Ralphy Davis is a smooth-talker from Seattle with a Bay Area flair. He’s worked with big Bay names like Berner and San Quinn. Which gained him recognition along the entire West Coast with his 2016 release, Leftlanin’ My Lifestyle.
Lately, his buzz has taken him on the road performing outside of the state. In Seattle though, he says that the Crocodile is one of his favorite venues because “the energy there was lovely and they had my music sounding perfect.”

I asked Davis how the drastic changes in society had affected him as an artist. He told me he feels like social issues aren’t going away and that change is still needed for the better. As an artist today, he said with things like the Music Modernization Act, it’s much easier for an independent artist to monetize their music.
Ralphy is wrapping this year up with a brand new EP exclusively produced by DJ Basskids. When creating the project titled 6 Days 6 Nights, the two were looking for some fly motivational vibes and moods to move through the city to. Davis said the overall process was a good experience because it was the first time he had sat down and worked with a producer from scratch.
The whole project has a shoulder rolling vibe. It’s a celebration of Seattle greats. All the songs are named after sports legends like Gary Payton and famous musicians like Jimi Hendrix. On stand out tracks like, “Russell Wilson” and “Sue Bird,” Ralphy flows like a steady moving creek. The words trickle out of his mouth catching the wave of the beat.
DJ BassKids captured that essence of being deep in the heart of the city. It’s that same feeling that I get when I walk down 5th Ave looking at all the designer brands that I can’t afford, yet. It’s an uplifting, productive, let’s get our hustle on confidence.
Roll around the city listening to this project for six days and six nights, then catch him on the final night of the Seattle World Tour! He’ll be performing at Columbia City Theatre on January 12th with La Fonda, Whitney Mongé, and All Star Opera.
