Stone Age Farmacy is a licensed cannabis retailer located in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California. The Stone Age brand currently has three locations, with two residing in greater LA and the other in Portland. Their in-house brand of cannabis is called Stone Age Gardens and is known for producing a collection of strains that are effective for medical and recreational consumers alike.
Visiting their Rosecrans Ave location for the first time, I was thankful to have been greeted by a seasoned budtender named Ariel. Spending about 15 minutes with me, she talked me through the ins and outs of legal weed in California.
There are usually good strain offerings at the $10 and $15 gram prices and this store held true to that statement. The Do-Si-Dos, Platinum Gorilla Glue, and their Power OG were arguably the most impressive offerings.
The Power OG strain was what I ended up purchasing. Described as a cross of OG Kush and a landrace Indica, the effects were said to similar to an OG Kush x Sour Diesel type of strain. The smell and smoke of this strain was sweet, smooth, and earthy, leaving me with a light head high and a kushy body buzz.
For daily smokers and dabbers, this strain provides moderate effects and is paired with a fair price point at $45 an eighth. Tourists and consumers with lower tolerances should consider this when they’re looking for an energetic high that leaves the user slightly stoned.
