If you haven’t heard of the Permanent Marker strain yet, don’t worry, you may soon get a taste. Permanent Marker is an indica-hybrid strain made from a mix of Biscotti x Jealousy x Sherb Bx, an enticing three-parent mix that wows all that try the bud.
You can find the strain available from the brand Heights Co at Gnome Grown on Alberta in Portland. At least, that’s where Mitch from Respect My Region picked up his pack to test it on taste, smell, and overall experience.

Permanent Marker Strain
The Permanent Marker cannabis strain is a coveted high-potency cultivar from Los Angeles that was released in June 2022. It was first bred and grown by Seed Junky Genetics’ JBeezy and hand-selected by Doja Exclusive, building up hype ever since. Now it can be found under several other brands, including the Heights Co company in Portland.
Strain Features
The bud has several traits that make it a favorite for many Portland locals and even our CEO, including the high THC content and unique smell. For instance, one of the strain’s top qualities is the uncanny permanent-marker-like smell that erupts from the strain. Additionally, THC content can range from 29-35%.
However, while the nose on the bud is typically the most talked about feature of the strain, the beauty of the nug itself is also noteworthy. Permanent Marker produces a sticky and dense nug that you’ll likely need to break out the good grinder for. The nugs also wear fantastic purple and orange hues splashed on a mostly green gelato-esque color, which makes the bud almost too pretty to touch.
Permanent Marker Respect My Region Review
Given its indica-dominant nature, this particular cannabis is said to be an ideal daytime strain to help you relax on a lazy afternoon, also potentially making it easier to build up an appetite. According to Leafly and Allbud, the strain may also make you talkative or even aroused. Because of this, the strain may help relieve symptoms of depression, stress, fatigue, PMS, PTSD, and cramps.
Mitch gave the taste of the bud a whopping 9.9/10, making this strain one of the highest-rated flower strains in Respect My Region history. However, Mitch wished he could see the true terpene content of the bud, but the packaging didn’t have the information listed, resulting in an overall score of 96/100.
