I had just seen The Maine a couple days ago, and to see The Neighbourhood as well is truly the cherry on top for me. 2012 emo Farra is alive and thriving. The Neighbourhood is an iconic band that has been consistently releasing incredible albums.
Their most recent self-titled album, “The Neighbourhood” is very well composed. I’m also almost positive that 90 percent of the 16 to 25 age group knows the chorus of Sweater Weather. The Neighbourhood is very well known and respected in the music industry. You should definitely familiarize yourself with them if you don’t already know.
Jesse Rutherford (lead singer) is a creative genius and his performance didn’t disappoint. The transition and flow of the setlist were impeccable, and the lighting was chosen meticulously to match the mood. This was my first time seeing them, so I had no past experiences to compare it to. However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have fun. Although there were a lot of phones out (which was expected), the atmosphere and passion of the fans made up for it.
The Neighbourhood just played their first weekend at Coachella, and it was live streamed. You can catch them again during weekend 2 if you’re around. You can also stream the festival on YouTube, and watch them online!
