Chicago’s Necropolis Music Festival Combines Heavy Bass Music With Dark Fantasies Of Halloween

Chicago can be counted on to pump out talented artists and dope festivals year after year. Between Lollapalooza, and Pitchfork Music Festival, Chicagoans have a lot of opportunities to see new and established artists across several genres. This fall, on the weekend of Halloween, you can attend Chicago’s newest dance music festival, Necropolis, in your Halloween costume.

Necropolis Music Festival on a Hallow-Weekend

Taking place October 29th & 30th from 2 PM to 11 PM at Northerly Island is the can’t-miss Necropolis music festival (NMF). EDM icons including Wreckno, Excision, Adventure Club, and Alison Wonderland will perform, among other talented artists. Presented by Auris, NMF is the company’s third festival this year. Fans anticipate it to be as successful as Heatwave Music Festival and the second edition of ARC Music Festival. Above all, with Necropolis, Auris aims to bring some of electronic music’s most bass-heavy names to the forefront of your playlists and minds.

Lineup

A new festival’s lineup needs to be epic to get people excited, but fans don’t need to worry; NMF’s lineup is legendary. Throughout the fest you can catch your favorite artists, like beloved Australian producer, Alison Wonderland. As well as an exciting lineup of quickly rising artists, like Lucii. The sounds of Necropolis will encompass all corners of the bass music spectrum. Rumor has it, the Phase Two lineup has a few surprises with it.

While the Phase One lineup is already published, the Phase Two announcement is coming soon. Phase One will feature performances from 1991 b2b Culture Shock, Alison Wonderland, Adventure Club, ARMNHMR, and Blanke. Other artists include Dimension, DJ Diesel, Excision, Getter, Gramatik, Fairlane, JOYRYDE, Kayzo, Layz, Lucii, Reaper, and Wreckno.

Necropolis Venue

Because the festival takes place during Halloween weekend, you’ll witness heavy bass music and the dark fantasies of Halloween collide. The two stages of Necropolis will be surrounded on all sides by Lake Michigan, and encompassed under massive tent structures. Auris has come up with a creative wonderland where thousands of fans can wander about in their most creative costumes.

Tickets & Exclusive Events

General tickets are on sale now. If you’d like to be a part of the action, you can get your festival passes online at the Necropolis Festival website.

Additionally, if you’re not ready to end the night on Day One of the festival, there’s an after party. The exclusive Necropolis Afterparty features music by Excision and is only open for passholders. This event will take place on 10/29 after the main event.
