It’s been a dope couple of weeks of Seattle hip-hop releases to close out the month. With recent drops from Ralphy Davis and Maika Million making big waves this week, we also have to shoutout two local OGs, MikeJack3200 and Mafi D, who dropped their music video “Fall Down” earlier in the month.
The track is a twist on Kanye West’s 2004 hit “All Falls Down,” which is produced by local talent HeyTaewon. “Fall Down” is a trunk-thumping take on the Kanye original. The track possesses that beloved Seattle street grime layered with finesse over the Syleena Johnson vocal loop. All together, the track brings energy that’s good for getting the party started or doing that Sunday clean up afterwards. It’s a big vibe from two of Seattle’s most buzzing hip-hop artists.

Seattle’s Going Up With “Fall Down”
The video was shot and directed by GhxstBoi, a rising videographer in the PNW music scene. Complimenting the song well, the music video presents clean cut visuals and energetic vibes. With plenty of shots of MikeJack and Mafi around the city, it has that “homegrown” energy that always gets fans intrigued.
March is always a great month for basketball, but this month has also been great for the Seattle hip-hop scene. Artists are spoiling fans with plenty of new music to ramp up for summer. In addition, seemingly more and more opportunities are coming to the PNW. It will be exciting to see who’s able to make the most of theirs and get that bag.
