McDonalds Is Hosting A Breakfast-Themed Rave in LA: Get The Details

Beats, bass, and . . . breakfast sandwiches? McDonalds thinks this is a winning combination, as they just announced their Rise N’ Rave event in Los Angeles featuring artist Manila Killa. We’re just as confused as you are.

The “rave” kicks off bright and early at 6AM, at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles. The event is free, but attendees can score VIP access if they show a receipt for a triple breakfast stack. “Hail corporate,” much?

Hilariously enough, Rise N’ Rave is 18+, as if the organizers expect some sort of raving debauchery to go down at 6AM on a Thursday. The event is hosted at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles, a historic venue that can accommodate up to 1500 people. It’s questionable whether they’ll get anywhere close to that capacity.

The bizarre circumstances of the event might be enough to get people in the door. Even so, you have to wonder if this event is signaling in a new era of rave-based advertising. Will major companies start appealing to the massive dance community with more events like these? Or is this simply a one-off publicity stunt?

Regardless, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the press for the Rise N’ Rave event next week. Stay tuned for more updates. You can RSVP to the event on the Facebook page here.

Are you in LA, and planning on going to Rise N’ Rave? Or, would you go if you could? Let us know in the comments!
