Mayday Parade Brings A Mini Version of the Sad Summer Festival to Seattle

Mayday Parade a band was established in 2005 in Tallahassee, Florida. Many of you probably have listened to at least once in your teen years. A globally known rock band known for their emotional music. Some people would even describe the band as emotion itself.

Mayday Parade has been out on the road all summer on the inaugural cross country tour of the Sad Summer Festival, a Vans Warped Tour replacement. Surprisingly, this tour didn’t make a stop in the PNW which surprised most people, including the band. Instead of just hanging out and relaxing between the last week of the festival, they instead brought themselves, State Champs, Mom Jeans, and Just Friends to Seattle for a mini Sad Summer Festival.

I was extremely thrilled that Mayday Parade and State Champs came together for this mini-tour. The whole show was a vibe and an emotion on its own. Everybody in the crowd was living their best lives, coming together for their favorite songs from Mayday Parade. The energy was off the charts.

Sad Summer Festival has officially come to an end with their last stop in Anaheim, CA. Mayday Parade said in a tweet that this festival really inspired them to do more. They just released their 6th studio album a little over a year ago. Hopefully, with this new found inspiration, we should hear some new music soon!
