Artists working in fast food well before they found fame is nothing new. However what is fairly new is the amount of artists going back to those roots and collaborating with said fast food joints. The latest is Lil Nas X, who Taco Bell just named their new chief impact officer.
The new relationship between Lil Nas and Taco Bell will bring a menu of new activities, collaborations, and promotion for his debut album Montero. His role, which was created specifically for him, combines food, music, and philanthropy.
Only 4 years ago Lil Nas X was working at Taco Bell in the Atlanta area. Fast forward and he is one of the most well known artists in the world, with multiple number one hits. For the next two months the two are joining forces to offer an exclusive experience surrounding Lil Nas’ upcoming release.
Lil Nas will also be working with the Taco Bell Foundation to reward youth with the Live Más Scholarship.
Lil Nas X knows the job, the experience and the culture Taco Bell creates for its fans – including its people. This unique partnership will deliver on more than just marketing, allowing us to tap into the genius of Lil Nas X to inspire our team members and align with our commitment to unlocking opportunities for young people.

Celebrity and fast food collaborations may not be completely new, with deals dating back to the 90s. But, the way these deals are being executed nowadays goes much further than it ever has. Rappers like Travis Scott, Saweetie, and J Balvin have landed huge deals with McDonald’s. These deals brought custom meals and even merchandise.
