I have always been super hesitant when it came to purchasing cartridges. When they first came out, they were inconsistent and some required a slightly different batteries to use. However, Avitas seems to have their cartridges solidified. Every hit that I’ve taken pull I’ve taken off their cartridge has been a ripper. I’ve been puffing on their Kobain Kush, a pure indica strain.
There is a certain consistency that shows up in Avitas cannabis. Their small batch mentality allows them to offer a special selection of cannabis. They also do not mix strains in their extractors, so you might not always be able to find your favorite strain. Also on their staff is a fulltime chemist with a Ph.D. They are constantly researching ways to improve the Avitas process. They are obsessed with ensuring that the quality of their product meets an extremely high standard each time.
Kobain Kush is a cross between Pre-98 Bubba Kush and White Lotus. The oil from this concentrate is a honey color and thickness. It moves through the cartridge, but not at a rapid rate. There is a moderate chemical flavor to the cannabis, but what stood out to me the most was a chestnut flavor that came out each time I exhaled. While I found this to be a strange combination of flavors, the quality of the cartridge and smoothness of each hit greatly outweighed the flavors.
For me, Kobain Kush is not a sit on my couch and become locked there strain. The munchies were the first side effect that I noticed. Shortly after smoking, I started thinking about what I could eat in my fridge.
