Justin Hale Teases Upcoming Album With New Single “Pisces SZN”

Justin Hale’s about to take over summer. The Californian that’s recently made Seattle his home began making music when he was just 9-years-old. Living in Guam at the time, he won a talent show for a track he co-wrote with his mother who was an MC herself in her youth. It was this moment that solidified Justin’s love for hip-hop and drove him to pursue his new passion for performing. Now, it was time for a name.

Justin got his name while hanging out at the pool at a place he lived at the University of Arizona. It’s actually a play on words if you haven’t noticed already, he, a girl he was seeing at the time, and some of her friends were talking about names that made other words. Suddenly it just came to him, just. in. hale. From then, Justin Hale was born.

In an interview with Underground Hip-Hop Blog he stated, “it took a few months to stick because I had to relate.” Eventually, the name caught on and Justin Hale has been building the brand with great music ever since.

Justin Hale

Justin Hale has been regularly dropping music and growing exponentially as an artist lately. From his 2018 December EP Rain City, which earned a nomination at The Town Love Hip-Hop Awards presented by Crane City Music, to his 2019 February EP Thorns. Justin Hale wants to put on for his city of Seattle, seeing his growth as an artist from Rain City to Thorns as he opened up more on the second EP was an exciting eye-opener into Hale as he moved past a lot of negativity that surrounded his past. It’s definitely not a bad place to start if you’re just diving into Justin Hale.

“Lonely Hearts Club (PTSD)”

JustIn Hale recently released a video for one of the hottest songs off his Valentines Day EP Thorns. In the video for “Lonely Hearts Club (PTSD)” you see JustIn contemplating the pros and cons of being more introverted than most. The video, directed by Brandon “Bano” Ochoa, is about loneliness and how it’s OK to let yourself feel again and to let people in. There’s also a great message about checking in on your friends and loved ones no matter how happy they seem because mental health is important and people don’t always show how they may really be feeling.

Pisces SZN

The second single from Justin Hale’s upcoming 2019 summer EP titled March Madness is here. “Pisces SZN” is yet another teaser to hold us over while we wait for Hale’s first project since signing with local indie label LightWav Music. The project drops June 21st on all streaming platforms.

The single “Pisces SZN” is a reflection on Pisces season itself, which is when Hale would get into the most trouble growing up. Not coincidentally, Hales birthday is March 17th, making him a Pisces. He was always a bit of a pain for his mother around this time. The second verse of “Pisces SZN” is written to his mother and reflects on her efforts, thanking her for always having his back even when he was naive. “Pisces SZN” is a beautiful track to lead us up to March Madness.

The project March Madness will tell Justin’s fans more about where he comes from and who he is. It highlights where he currently is in both with life and his music while touching on where he’d like to be in the future.
