Jhené Aiko is back outside this summer! She recently announced she’ll be the headliner for The Magic Hour Tour and bringing some talented friends with her. In addition, Coi Leray, Tink, Umi, and Kiana Ledé will be supporting acts. The tour will kick off June 19th in Detroit, Michigan, making a total of 29 scheduled stops. For Jhené, this will be her first headlining tour in over 5 years.
The Magic Hour Tour was originally scheduled years ago. After dropping the 2020 studio album “Chilombo,” the tour was supposed to be served as a way to promote the release. Due to COVID-19 concerns, and restrictions, the tour was initially cancelled.
Jhené’s Recent Sucess
Chilombo is Jhené 3rd studio album release. The album released back on March 6th in 2020 and has a total of 20 tracks including features from Big Sean, Nas, H.E.R, John Legend, and more. Chilombo received high praise earning well over one million album-equivalent units, earning it a platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Jhené earned 2020 grammy nominations for Chilombo. Those nominations included best R&B performance, best progressive R&B album, and album of the year. This upcoming tour looks to be a celebration lap for all fans of Jhené and Chilombo’s accolades.
