Isaac French has dropped his new album titled Human Being. The Vermont based artist provides many different looks with the project, which includes many influences of varying genres from pop, EDM, and singer/songwriter. In addition, Human Being showcases French’s large vocal range paired with the delivery of creative and emotional lyrics.
While Human Being is clearly centered around French’s vocals, the production elevates the project as a whole. The instrumentation is diverse as many different synthesizers mesh well with the smooth samples and filtered vocals behind the main parts. Examples of this can be heard with the songs “Human Being” and “Just In Time.”

Aside from the electronic elements heard from start to finish, there are also many acoustic moments on Human Being as well. This can be heard in his song “All For You” which features the piano and backing of strings with his vocals. The song is also a prime example his large vocal range, as he impressively hits sustained high notes towards the end of the song.
While there are many different elements heard throughout the album, the project as a whole is very cohesive. At times there are some stark shifts between instrumentations and genres, but after listening to the entire project it makes sense for how everything is formatted. Standout tracks include “Waiting”, “Right Girl Wrong Time”, “Taking Shots”, and “Better This Way.”
Isaac French has delivered an album that explores many different stories and moods that any person can enjoy. With so many instrumental and stylistic influences, Human Being includes everyone as it offers something that each person will enjoy.
