Forensic technology shows us that there are traces of marijuana found in Shakespeare’s clay pipes at his Stratford-upon-Avon garden. They used a gas procedure to highlight cannabis residue that dated back hundreds of years. It’s a possibility that the genius play-writer had a little help from Mary during those times.

The First Item Ever Sold on the Internet Was Weed
Back before the internet was a thing, students from Stanford used their artificial intelligence lab to purchase weed through an Arpanet account. This version wasn’t necessarily an example of Amazon’s purchasing, but more of a Craigslist transaction. Credit card information can’t transfer over the Arpanet servers, but this transaction definitely pioneered the days of online sales that we know today.
