Galantis is Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklow. These two Swedish-born DJ’s came together in 2012 with an idea with their own approach to making music. Before that both individuals have worked on some of the most biggest tracks to hit the charts. Christian helped write “Toxic” by Brittney Spears, and Linus coproduced “I Love It” by Icona Pop. In other words, these two very creative individuals have created some of the most original and fresh music to come out of electronic music to date.
They have circled the globe playing shows probably to many times to count, but their favorite city in the world to play in is Los Angeles. I’ve seen Galantis over 25 times. 2 countries, 6 states, over 10 cities, the majority of them in LA and Seattle. Earlier this month I flew down to LA to see them play back-to-back nights at one of the most iconic venues in Los Angeles, The Shrine Auditorium at the USC campus.
Both nights Galantis sold the place out after releasing more tickets numerous times again and again. Every time I see Galantis it’s like I’m seeing them for the first time again. They bring such a powerful energy and stage presence to every show that makes when they play just such a special moment that you definitely could feel in the crowd both nights. Stage and show production, all their visuals along with dance moves from Christian were on point. Above it all, we also got an exclusive first hear of their new song Faith, and them mixing their oldest song Smile both nights of their sets was certainly a cherry on top.
Galantis just announced that they will be releasing a new album “Church” set to come out in 2020. Their new song Faith was just released. Listen to it below!
