Hosted on Mother’s Day weekend, Emerald Cup 2023 featured an inspiring awards show that took place at a beautiful waterfront venue in Richmond, CA. I walked up to the red carpet entrance and saw a thousand or so people smoking and celebrating inside and outside of the event space. All of the winners were announced in front of a packed-out crowd with a bunch of people smoking outside of the venue throughout the entire awards show. The event was nothing short of magical.
The 23rd Annual Emerald Cup
This year, the 23rd annual Emerald Cup cannabis awards featured OCB Papers as the primary sponsor. An enjoyable selection of brands also popped up and were providing beverages, joints, snacks, and more. Big love to Farmer and The Felon, Top Shelf Cultivation, OOKA, PuffCo, and all of the groups who came together to hook guests up with good smoke, tasty drinks, dabs, and vibes.
The Emerald Cup is one of the most respected, if not the most respected cannabis cup in the world. The EC team curated what many people were describing as the most legitimate group of judges for any cannabis cup anywhere in the world. The California cannabis industry is struggling more than ever. This competition provided the opportunity for the community to unite and celebrate the culture, while determining who has been crafting the best cannabis goods.
