Back in October, DNA Gardens owner Dan Bechen told me how excited he was about their Blueberry diamonds concentrate collaboration with processor Amber Brick. At long last, I’ve gotten my hands on this collaboration – a tiny jar of Ferrari yellow butane hash oil diamonds. Blueberry is a classic indica strain originally bred by DJ Short, one of the most famous breeders in cannabis culture.
DNA Gardens packages their diamonds in basic plastic clamshell packaging, which is basic as can be and causes recycling issues, but at least it’s easy to open. DNA wins points for their logo, infusing double-helix DNA and the marijuana leaf into a clever logo with their catchphrase “respect the cure.”
DNA Gardens and Amber Brick captured this special mix of landrace genetics in a beautiful fashion. Not only do the diamonds shine through the jar, Blueberry’s award-winning terpene profile is not only intact but one of the better representation of the strain’s potential I’ve come across.
These crystals have aromas similar to blueberry jam with hints of gas. The gram consisted of a single rock, which crumbled like a wet sand castle with a couple prods with my dab tool. The diamonds easily mashed onto my dab tool and the gram seemed to go a long way, four dabs barely seemed to make a dent.
DNA Gardens’ Blueberry is a great indica through and through; the high the enveloped me after several dabs left me near sedated at my keyboard; it’s been a while since I’ve experienced an intense indica strain. These Blueberry diamonds are best saved for dessert when the night is winding down and the household responsibility is at its lowest.
