Dillon Francis has finally dropped his long-anticipated track with De La Ghetto titled “Never Let You Go”, along with announcing his forthcoming album WUT WUT, set to be released on September 28th.
Dillon Francis has been on a Latin pop streak with his rumored release of an all-Latin pop album set to drop this year, and his newest song with De La Ghetto further solidifies this trend. “Never Let You Go” carries Dillon’s signature dance-inspired touches and over-the-top accompanying visuals. The track has been included in some of Dillon Francis’ mixtapes, including his Moombahton Mix, released for the 4th of July of this year.
The video for “Never Let You Go” features De La Ghetto and Dillon Francis as boat salesmen, starting off at a boat show and eventually throwing a full-blown party on a yacht to then being towed along the roads of Miami. In between shots of the two performers, the video cuts to scenes of the weird and wonderful “people of Florida”, including a group of young goths walking along the sunny Florida beach, and a girl dressed as a mermaid, among others.
The track itself is more laid-back than your typical party anthem you would expect from Dillon Francis, but it holds its own among his more amped-up releases. A catchy melody and easy flow make this track a chill summer anthem.
In the description of the video on YouTube, Dillon writes:
“I’m really excited for you guys to watch the music video to this song…for a little back story on ‘Never let you go’ this was the first song I started making when I embarked on this Spanish language album back in August 2016….De La Ghetto was the first artist I got in the studio with after the Latin Grammys in November thanks to Toy Selecta! He fully understood the goals I had for this album and it was incredible to have an artist at his caliber vibing to my music!”
As rumored earlier this year, Dillon Francis also announces his new album, titled WUT WUT, in the description of the music video, slotted to be released on September 28th.
