CEO & Music Executive STEPH.V, launched the NYC-based independent music label CERTZ Entertainment in 2017. His brand name forayed into cannabis when he partnered with Joke’s Up to produce the Certz strain. Since then, it’s grown and developed into a powerhouse brand around the world.
STEPH.V already had been vending in the California cannabis market before establishing his own strain. Later, they took the Certz brand back home to NYC opening a clothing store on the East Coast in 2019. After 18 months, New York legalized cannabis recreationally, enabling them to expand the cannabis side of the brand. Consequently, they’ve become one of the largest cannabis brands on the East Coast, collaborating with Compound Genetics, DeltaBoyz, Highmart and many more. Recently, they opened up Midtown Certz Lounge, a cannabis consumption lounge in midtown Manhattan.
Certz Celebrates Both Cannabis and Music
It’s true, though, Certz is much more than just a premo-flower company. The company also dabbles in music and merchandising. Additionally, the company and its products are beloved by many, and has been saluted by Rod Wave, and acknowledged by Berner of Cookies, among other rappers who enjoy cannabis.
This year was busy for the company; the CEO had a meetup with fans in February, there was a giveaway, and a Superbowl smoke sesh. At the Superbowl sesh you could receive a complimentary pre-roll and enter for free in a raffle. In October, there was a members-only free taste test event at the Midtown Manhattan consumption lounge where you could also get a free preroll upon entry.
If you want to visit the Midtown Certz Lounge in NYC, you can become a member for a $200 monthly fee or purchase a day pass for just $15 per day. Future plans for Certz include opening the first flagship dispensary for the brand in New York by 2023.
