Each year the top nominees receive a swag bag that has gifts ranging from hilarious to luxurious. Sometimes the bag can be worth close to $100k. Marketing company Distinctive Assets will be sending these gift bags to all 25 Academy Award nominees in the acting and directing categories, according to a release sent to CNBC.

Other gifts the nominees will find include a week at the Golden Door spa in California, an Amazon cruise, and a vacation at a super classy Greek resort. These gifts alone amount to well over $50k. Contributors to this luxurious swag bag will pay close to, if not over $4,000, to get their products in there for the bragging rights alone. The 2019 Oscars swag bags end up being worth around six figures.
With even the Oscars hopping on board, it makes you wonder how much longer the negative stigma surrounding cannabis will exist in mainstream culture.
