Sativa strains aren’t something I usually get, but I knew I would need one for a long Saturday night. The budtender at The Evergreen Market suggested Black Afghani Rose from Leaf Werx. I mentioned that I was attending a party that evening and needed something to keep me awake and counteract all of the indicas that at the party.
The first thing I noticed about the Leaf Werx packaging is a silhouette of a person with the phrase “go time” underneath it. It was enough to convince me that I needed this strain for the night. Appearing on the top of the jar are the words chillin, go time, and vibin, painting a picture of the strains effects.
Outside of the silhouettes, nothing on the label distracts you from the product inside. These simple labels provide the opportunity to appreciate the cannabis but don’t always grab your attention at the store.
When I first smelled the cannabis, I noticed a faint rose aroma. While I may not enjoy the smell of roses, I’m sure someone will definitely find that appealing. This was the first strain that I smoked at the Respect My Region 7-year anniversary party. I got the boost of energy I needed to socialize with various guests throughout the night.
