The Birthday Face strain is one of the more recent drops at Cookies on Flamingo in Las Vegas, and it is fire. As a part of the North American Weed Tour, Joey Jayping tested the strain, and it scored pretty high.
The Birthday Face Strain by Cookies
Created by crossing Birthday Cake with Face on Fire, The Birthday Face hybrid strain doesn’t disappoint. The crisp buds are small and have an alluring scent. This particular batch Joey tried contained 26.1% THC, 27.99% THCA, and no CBN or CBD. Since the packaging also says the strain has dominant terpenes of limonene at 5.2%, beta-caryophyllene at 4.23%, and beta-myrcene at 4.2%, Joey predicted that the strain would have lemony, sour, skunky, cakey, gassy and creamy notes.
The parent strain, Birthday Cake, is a well-balanced hybrid. It may be what’s adding the creamy and cake-like flavor to the mix as well as potential drowsiness. On the other hand, Face On Fire, a mix of White Fire 43 and Face Off, may add its skunky smell and high THC percentage.

Testing the Strain
On the first inhale, Joey immediately noted the white ash and the citrusy, skunky, cake flavor with a little hint of lemon, to which he heavily enjoyed. The white ash indicates a focus on quality during the cure and overall supply chain. He did mention that he has smoked the Birthday Face prior to the scored tasting. Notably, he mentioned that the taste and burn was super consistent from first to last nug. Ultimately, for taste, Joey rated the strain 8.9 out of 10.
The Birthday Face strain effect for Joey was mostly a body high that felt energized, with a little bit of a head high. According to Hytiva, some reviewers say it’s an extremely sedative strain; helping consumers combat insomnia. The bud received an overall score of 91 out of 100.
