Edibles are one of the most exciting categories in the cannabis industry. It’s a category that is uniquely enjoyed by both the canna-curious and daily users.
Here at Respect My Region, we realize that there are products for different folks and different occasions. The edible is both an easy introduction to cannabis use and something that seasoned vets can use to go to the “moon.” Low-dose edibles are micro-dose friendly and then we all know the high-dose, 100MG to 1000MG edibles are here for veteran cannabis users.
We spent the last half of 2022 traveling all over the country looking into the best cannabis products available in the recreational market for our North American Weed Tour. While we didn’t try every edible in every market, we tried a few hundred different options across the map. Some companies reached out to make sure we tried them and we let a lot of budtenders recommend their favorite and most popular products. Take a look at our favorites from around the map!
Pioneer Squares Fruit Nom Nom (Craft Elixirs)
Preferred Flavors: Watermelon Kiwi
Available In: Washington
The Pioneer Squares Fruit Nom Nom gummies are hands down one of the best edibles in the country. While the products are only available in Washington State right now, PNW locals and tourists alike have the ability to taste some absolute fire. These gummies are bigger squares with pieces of fruit inside them and they pair up the flavors of the gummy and fruit in a way that will make it hard to not eat the whole bag.
WYLD
Preferred Flavors: Sour Cherry, Huckleberry
Available In: Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Michigan, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Illinois
WYLD is one of the largest cannabis companies in the US and ranked as a top five brand by Pioneer Intelligence. The Oregon headquartered company has prioritized being an operator and not a brand license and the proof is in the product. Their packaging and in-dispensary display looks the same across the map and they have some of the best packaging in the game. Their flavors are rooted in both popular fruits and a PNW favorite like Huckleberry.
Dee Thai Gummies
Preferred Flavors: Mango, Pineapple, and Guava
Available In: California
Dee Thai Gummies pack a little taste of Thailand in each bite. The company was created by Joshua Schmidt who lived in Thailand for years and has a deep love and passion for the culture and cuisine of the area. Their gummies are solventless providing a unique taste, great high, and trust in consumption. Each SKU is built off flavors you can find in Thailand and they’re simply great edibles.
Betty’s Eddies
Preferred Flavors: Strawberry, Cherry, Lemon Agave (Sleep)
Available In: Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Rhode Island, and Deleware
Betty’s Eddies are fire! The taffy-like chews have a nostalgic feeling (especially as a West Coast kid that grew up eating salt water taffy) but are all the way 2022 relevant with their cannabis ingredient. Almost every flavor we’ve tried tastes great and they pair different flavors and ingredients for situational effects. We truly look forward to our East Coast travels to pick up some Bettys!
Lost Farm Live Resin Gummies From KIVA
Preferred Flavors: Island Punch, Raspberry Wedding Cake, Watermelon Gelato, Blueberry Bluedream, Saint JHN Blood Orange
Available In: California, Michigan, Massachusetts
The Lost Farm live resin gummies from KIVA are a special item. These products embrace the single-strain infusions into the flavor and often play off them directly in the title, matching fruit flavors with cannabis in a unique way. Live resin provides a more full spectrum high as well as the ability to put terpenes forward in taste. We’ve tried (and enjoyed) a lot of them, but lean on suggestions for the above flavors!
Coast Cannabis Co Chocolate Bars
Preferred Flavors: S’mores, Key Lime Pie, Cookies & Cream, Almond Coconut & Sea Salt
Available In: Massachusetts
Coast Cannabis Co. is a family-run business in Massachusetts. Coast has penetrated an absurd amount of stores in the region and it’s no surprise, they make a great product. Outside of having a great team and product, they play with flavors in a great way. Splitting up their bars into milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate “lines” with multiple offerings for each. Users can break squares to micro dose or opt to take the whole bar to the neck (which we did).
THC-Infused Hot Pizza At The Mint Dispensary In Tempe, AZ
Preferred Flavors: 50mg half pepperoni and half pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeno pizza
Available In: Tempe, AZ
The Mint Dispensary in Tempe, AZ is an entire vibe. 11/10 recommend you MUST visit if in the Pheonix area. When you walk into the store, to the left is the standard dispensary display county and to the right is a window directly into their in-house kitchen. They are making edibles on-site as well as hot food so that you can get customized THC infusion doses. That’s right, pick your food and how much THC you want in it and they’ll make it. Pizza, pasta, chicken wings, and baked goods. WOW. We opted for the pizza and what could totally be a novelty item that doesn’t taste good but is infused, is actually legit pizza. They even have frozen-infused take and bakes. Do not sleep on The Mint!
Hi-Burst Gummies From 4Front Ventures
Preferred Flavors: Sour Blue Raspberry, Cherry
Available In: Washington, California, Massachusetts
Hi-Burst got its start in our home state of Washington and has since expanded operations to multiple markets. In an industry that’s overly crowded with gummies (I mean have you read this list?), these simply stand out. The texture, flavor, and packaging make this an easy choice for one of our favorites.
Space Gems
Preferred Flavors: Sour Assorted Flavors
Available In: California
Space Gems Sour Spacedrop gummies are an excellent solventless choice! They’re all vegan and made with ice water hash that comes in multi-packs with 20 rotating flavors. These are crafted and hand packaged in Humboldt County.
