Starting Wednesday, May 5th, KUBE 93.3 will begin to air local music at 10 p.m. PST every week. Hosted by Besa Gordon, KUBE 93.3 will feature one song by an artist from the PNW during the “The New at 10” segment. This may also provide a pathway for local artists getting their music played on mix shows during the day as well.
This has been something host Besa has had in the works for a long time! We previously spoke to the host about mainstream radio and locals merging on our Lunch Table Podcast. Prior to this, she’s been curating blog posts and interviews with up and coming artists around the region. This has provided a platform for locals to get exposure through KUBE’s network outside of the radio waves. Now, she has been able to create a better shot for these artists to showcase their music on the air!
The 10 o’clock segment will not only bring a fresh new spin to Wednesday nights at KUBE 93.3, but it will bring opportunity for local PNW artists to find exposure right in their home market. While people are finally getting outside at higher rates and shows are starting to open up, this could be a nice boost for artists to get access to promotion that’s been missing without shows and tours.
If you, or any PNW artists you know of should be featured on New at 10, then reach out to Besa Gordon today! You can find her information below!
