Minnesota-bred artist and producer Andrew Thomas continues to trailblaze a path of his own in 2021, following his production efforts for Snoop Dogg and Waka Flocka Flame.
Bending genre boundaries with a unique urban pop sound inherent to his music, Thomas embraces the wild side of his roots in his latest hit “Rodeo.”
Andrew Thomas Introduces The World To A Minnesota “Ho-down”
Inlaid with guitar and synth-driven production, “Rodeo” sees Andrew Thomas embracing the duality of music as he croons neatly overtop the country twang of the chorus. The music video particularly cites his experience growing up in the Midwest. Andrew gathers his crew on a big yellow bus and road trips to a random farm during the party time visual.
Complete with what appears to be a 50-foot slip-and-slide, a mechanical bull, and real-life cowboys, Andrew Thomas indeed introduces the world to a proper Minnesota ho-down in the “Rodeo” video.
2021 At A Glance Includes Millions Of Views And A 20-Date U.S. Tour For Andrew Thomas
“Rodeo” only dropped earlier this month. However, skyrocketing viewership and placement in MTV Live rotation helps the visuals reach well over one million hits. That’s not to mention how his recent “Liquor Talking” anthem accumulated a healthy three million (and counting) views ahead of the “Rodeo” release; affording Andrew Thomas further traction leading up to his headlining tour.
Joining forces with Minneapolis-based rapper J. Plaza, as well as Las Vegas indie rap-upstart Ekoh, Andrew Thomas has put together a two-month-long tour. It kicked off via his hometown show before departing to San Francisco.
More New Music On The Horizon For Andrew Thomas
The release of “Rodeo” and “Liquor Talking,” follows a quiet 2020 for Thomas in which he shared his sole “Sugar Baby” collaboration with Daddy Dinero. Long overdue for a new body of work, considering his last project dropped in 2018, it’s safe to say that Andrew Thomas is more than ready to gift his fans with new music.
