Seattle-based DJ/producer duo AMF dropped a new hit single just this summer with their track “Trapped,” a fire mix of dubstep and trap that’s taking over venues all over the Pacific Northwest. This latest track is yet another incredible banger from the locally acclaimed pair, who recently were featured as part of Bass Academy 2018 in Tacoma, WA.
AMF, comprised of members Andy Kutner and Grey Tsosie, has been blowing up in the PNW and beyond, bringing their post-hardcore, trap-based sound to acclaimed radio shows – notably by having the remix of their track “Breaker” by Junkie Kid and Jayden Parx featured by Brillz in his Diplo & Friends Mix on Radio 1 Extra. They’ve also had their track “Clique” played by UZ on Annie Nightingale’s BBC Radio 1 show.
With all of their phenomenal coverage they’ve received lately, AMF doesn’t disappoint with their newest track, mixing emotionally-charged vocals with a punchy mix of industrial high hats and lightly filtered synth to create a post-hardcore masterpiece. The chest-rattling drops are nothing short of breathtaking, and AMF brings the heat with their expert production talent, never once dropping the level of adrenaline that pumps through this heated track.
With its many finite details in the mixing used to create a complex, layered soundscape, “Trapped” is worth repeating over and over again. Listeners will find that they discover something new hidden in the track with every listen. Riding off their recent publicity success, and incredible production skills showcased in this newest release, it’s safe to say that we’ll be hearing a lot more from AMF in the near future.
