Marijuana Venture’s Interchange trade shows are a one-of-a-kind type of event in the cannabis industry. While many cannabiz trade shows have an open format that can lead to distractions and time wasted (and that may focus a little too much on consumption and after parties at times), Interchange brings a more efficient and effective layout to the industry.
Over two days vendors have an opportunity to meet face-to-face with retailers in a speed dating-like one-on-one private setting. This means all business and no distractions in a productive and professional environment. Moreover, it is an industry only trade show and is exclusively for the local industry.
“From day one we’ve been very careful to make sure people know this is a business event,” said Greg James, publisher of Marijuana Venture and Interchange host. He continued, “It took no time at all for them to realize ‘Wow, we may not have gotten quite as stoned as we did at the party, but we sold a lot more product.’”
This also cuts out the need to travel around to dozens of companies in hopes to accomplish the same things; a process that has proven over again to be incredibly time-consuming and costly. Instead, you can meet with dozens of vendors and build many solid connections in just two days.
“I did three months of business in two days.”

Interchange is Time and Cost-Effective
Furthermore, Interchange helps cut costs by making it free for retailers and inexpensive for vendors. Additionally, it is more cost and time-effective because meetings are precisely scheduled throughout the day in 20 minute increments.
This method has proven successful, with many personal testimonies from large cannabis brands to back it up. The CEO of Kush 21, Michale Beraki, told Marijuana Venture: “Unlike other industry conferences and networking events we have attended, Interchange is a place where deals are made and relationships are formed.”
To date, Interchange has produced ten events in Washington and is now expanding to Oregon this year. Their next event and the first in Oregon takes place on March 9-10th in Portland. Washington will see its 11th Interchange trade show on March 22-23 in Renton. There will also be an event in Spokane in 2022, but the dates are yet to be announced.
