MXXN (pronounced ‘moon’) released their first cannabis-infused, alcohol-free spirits this past week. MXXN’s taste mimics the alcoholic flavors and cocktail structure, but with cannabis as the focus instead of alcohol. MXXN’s purpose is to deliver a seasonable and easy-to-control high. MXXN is available in 750mL bottles with 100mg of THC per bottle. The beverage is meant to be enjoyed as a 1:1 to spirit replacement in popular cocktails. They are intended for those who enjoy cannabis and want an alternative to alcoholic beverages.
MXXN Flavors And Ingredients
MXXN products come in three flavors: London Dry, Jalisco Agave, and Kentucky Oak. They are the industry’s first 1:1 non-alcoholic replacements for tequila, bourbon, and gin, respectively.
London Dry is a complex gin replacement with notes of chamomile, rose, coriander, black pepper, lemon, and hints of cucumber and melon. Jalisco Agave is a spicy tequila replacement with hints of green agave, a sweet background with honey and a floral depth, finished with lime zest and a strong and sensible burn. Kentucky Oak is a whiskey replacement, with American Oak flavors and notes of caramel, vanilla, and maple. The expectation is 15-30 minutes to feel the effects while drinking the beverages.

Expectations for MXXN Products
MXXN’s mission is to create a new cocktail culture for cannabis and non-alcoholic beverages that resonate with the current times. Alcohol consumers have cut down on their usage immensely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due to an increase in desire for a healthier lifestyle. A recent report and statistics from Headset show that among Gen Z, alcohol consumption is 20% less than Millenials at the same age. 64% of Gen Z-ers are expected to lower alcohol intake with age. The U.S. cannabis beverages market grew from $67.8 million in 2019 to $85.2 million in 2020. The market is planning to increase by 20% in 2021.
