Western Cultured is quickly becoming a top cannabis brand for me, and for numerous reasons. Their Banana Split being one of them. Color-coded for strain types, Banana Split comes in the yellow and black package, the banner at the top displays “SOUR-HYBRID”.
This Strain is Bananas… B-A-N-A-NA-S
Upon opening the package, the cannabis smelled like potassium. Consequently, I wouldn’t call that a sour smell, but definitely unique. It had the strong smell of an unripe banana that was just ripped open.
The buds were dense and were beautifully trimmed. This Banana Split was a delightful green that was incredibly hairy, with long coarse orange hairs growing out of every nook and cranny. These hairs were still very intact and visible after putting Banana Split through my grinder. Each hit reminded me of the taste you get from biting into the side of a banana through the middle. Each hit its own sour flavor.
The exhales were earthy and skunky. Personally, I experienced a little more couch lock than I expected for a hybrid, however it could be an indica dominant strain. I spent more time editing photos from my photo shoot than shooting it, after smoking. As well as feeling more social, I decided to go out on the town with my friend for the night.
