iAnthus Brings MADE, Maven Genetics, and In-House Cannabis Genetics to New York - Inside iAnthus New Jersey With Cultivation Manager Justin on the Respect My Region Podcast

iAnthus Brings MADE, Maven Genetics, and In-House Cannabis Genetics to New York

Z41, Super Silver Haze, Grape Bubba, Chroma, and Sticky Grapes are among some of the genetics entering New York’s cannabis market through iAnthus. The lineup brings together selections from MADE and Maven Genetics alongside a cultivation program that also includes genetics developed in-house and ongoing hunts for future releases.

On a recent Respect My Region Podcast, Joey Brabo connected with Chad Salute, National Head of Cultivation at iAnthus, and John Butcher, Senior Cultivation Manager at the company’s Warwick, New York facility, to talk about various changes made within the company’s cultivation department.

For consumers, the immediate story is the flower.

iAnthus recently launched MADE and Maven giving New Yorkers specific strain names to look for, some of them award-winning, while the broader genetics program offers a look at what the team is developing beyond those releases.

MADE’s New York Genetics Include Z41, Hotline, and Super Silver Haze

The MADE lineup entering New York includes Z41, Hotline, Super Silver Haze, Grape Bubba, Biscotti, and Cream Smoothie. Together, those six selections give the brand several ways to introduce itself to consumers across the state.

Super Silver Haze and Biscotti will be familiar names to many cannabis shoppers. Z41, Hotline, Grape Bubba, and Cream Smoothie give consumers additional selections to explore as they get acquainted with MADE’s New York flower.

The distinction between recognizing a name and experiencing a particular batch is crucial here. A cultivar name can encourage someone to make an initial purchase, but the flower’s aroma, flavor, condition, and overall experience help determine whether that person returns.

For iAnthus, that makes the New York launch a cultivation responsibility as much as a brand introduction. The team has to establish what these selections look like within its own production environment and deliver flower that gives customers a reason to keep following the releases.

For shoppers interested in comparing the lineup, the six names provide a starting point. Availability will depend on individual dispensary menus and inventory, so consumers should check the actual product listing rather than assume every MADE selection is stocked together.

Maven Genetics Arrives With Chroma, Lip Stain, and Sticky Grapes

The Maven Genetics lineup includes Chroma, Lip Stain, Sticky Grapes, Shangrila, and Chrome Dome. Those five selections bring another part of the iAnthus genetics strategy into New York, with a direct connection to Salute and Butcher’s California cultivation backgrounds.

Both cultivators have experience with Maven Genetics and Kush Alley. Their involvement makes this expansion a continuation of work connected to the brand, now taking place within iAnthus and its New York operation.

That history gives the Maven launch a different dimension than simply adding another name to a portfolio. Salute and Butcher bring familiarity with the cultivation standards and selection work associated with their previous experience.

New York consumers will ultimately evaluate the flower produced for their market. Chroma, Lip Stain, Sticky Grapes, Shangrila, and Chrome Dome give them specific releases to follow, compare, and discuss with dispensary staff.

With the NY retailers, having a clearly identified lineup also creates a more useful conversation than a general announcement that a California brand has arrived. Budtenders can discuss the products actually on the shelf and help customers distinguish between individual selections.

In-House Genetics Are Part of the iAnthus New York Identity

MADE and Maven Genetics are two pieces of the program. The team’s focus also includes genetics developed in-house, giving iAnthus room to build an identity around its own creative work.

That combination is central to understanding the direction of the operation. Established brands can introduce consumers to the lineup, while internally developed genetics give the cultivation team an opportunity to contribute something of its own.

The distinction is useful for readers following future releases. A MADE launch, a Maven launch, and an iAnthus in-house selection can each have a different development story, even when they are connected through the same cultivation organization.

It also makes the program worth following beyond the first wave of products. The current launches show what is reaching the market now. In-house development and ongoing hunts offer a separate view of what the team is exploring for the future.

The Ongoing Hunts Include Poprocks–Slushie Beer and Super Boof Selections

Beyond the launched MADE and Maven lineup, the team’s ongoing hunts include Poprocks–Slushie Beer, Super Boof Cherry, and Super Boof Crunch Berries.

These names belong to the development side of the story. Their inclusion in a hunt should not be read as confirmation that finished products are already available in New York dispensaries. The team is searching through the best of the best to keep quality as elevated as possible.

Hunting gives cultivators an opportunity to evaluate candidates before deciding what deserves a place in production. The work involves looking beyond an interesting name to assess the actual plants and the flower they produce.

That process connects directly to the podcast’s focus on scaling craft-quality cannabis. Finding a promising selection is one step. Understanding whether it can perform consistently within a commercial operation introduces another set of questions.

For consumers who enjoy following genetics, this is where the longer story begins. Some candidates may become releases worth watching, while others may remain part of the team’s evaluation work.

The broader list of ongoing hunts also includes STIIIZY Cut OG, Zerealz, Chicken and Waffles, Blue N**dz, Super R**ts, Gasface, GG4, Skywalker OG, Toad Venom, Red R**ntz, Minage, and Lemoncello.

That range gives the team multiple candidates to evaluate rather than building the entire pipeline around a single selection. Familiar names such as GG4 and Skywalker OG sit alongside candidates that may be less familiar to individual shoppers.

A cultivation team needs to learn how each of these plants responds within the facility, communicate observations, and carry that knowledge into subsequent production cycles.

Chad and John’s respective responsibilities provide two perspectives on that work. Salute brings the national cultivation role, while Butcher’s position centers on the Warwick facility in New York.

For consumers tracking the current launches, MADE’s six selections and Maven’s five provide the immediate shopping list, with in-house development and ongoing hunts creating more to follow.
