The Bronx Zoo is displaying over 5,000 animal-themed pumpkins carved to perfection. The pumpkin night includes a jack-o-lantern trail you can walk half a mile through as the weather changes. Friends and family members can enjoy games, pumpkin carving, candy, and food options for everyone. 

The Bronx Zoo opened this experience on September 28th in NYC. However, there is still time to catch this every Thursday through Sunday until October 29th from 6 pm to 10 pm. Pricing-wise, you can get tickets between $26.95- $36.95 for adults and children.

If you are into a scary experience, look no further. Blood Manor might leave you smiling or shaking with its fantastic horror. With over 20 years in the NYC Halloween market, Blood Manor will return in 2023. From September 29th to November 4th, the manor is back, ready to terrorize the city. 

In the 10,000-square-foot haunted house in Soho, you can expect high-level production quality with three new rooms, updated costumes, props, and sets. Blood Manor partnered with Abracadabra to make all their actors scarier than ever with further improvements, professional actors, set designers, and more. You want to take advantage of this exclusive, spooky haunted house that will make your heart race. 

A Haunting In Hollis

With a simplistic name, you will not expect horror stories on this next attraction in Queen, NY. A Haunting House in Hollis is a challenging trip for visitors afraid of a haunted house or even first-timers. With a number 1 rating in the Tri-state area from CBS, you can visit an escape room, a 40ft exterior double maze, Satan’s “slope,” a 20-foot slide. A Haunting House in Hollis is also available on Airbnb with escape rooms and a chance to spend the night to experience the madness longer. 

Also, with an interactive element, you can purchase a laser gun to help get the ghouls and goblins away. A Haunting in Hollis was visited by Nick Cannon, who also experienced the scary fun. 

Green-Wood Cemetery

You can tour Green-Wood’s historic cemetery in Brooklyn for exciting stories and Egyptian art history. The cemetery also offers an option to explore the area as it gets dark to experience the entire grounds at midnight. Green-Wood has several other upcoming Halloween events, including a 21+ music and visual image show and a celebration of Latin History Month. Greenwood also includes a visual altar installation that honors Dia de los Muertos from October 21st to November 5th.

Boroughs of The Dead

For all history lovers, try this Borough of The Dead Walking Tour that explores the ghosts and spirits around the city. With different tours throughout the five boroughs, plus Roosevelt Island, you can learn more about the city’s dark history, including mental and women’s health and even occult stories. These tours are conducted by licensed guides and authors to give the most authentic information for ages 13+ and up. 

To experience the various tours from Astoria Queens to Govern’s Island, you can purchase tickets at $35. The tours last 90 minutes to 2 hours, of knowledge from specialized researchers about all the haunting facts of New York City’s past life.

Rollingween

All Hip-hop, Dancehall, and Afrobeats lovers tap into Rollingween with costumes for a fun night of dancing. This annual event also includes Ampanio for everyone with the best dance moves. Or anyone ready to compete in their $500 costume contest for best dressed of the night. It is produced by Blacc Fire Hospitality, located at the infamous SOB Nightclub, where you can party all night from 11 pm to 4 am. 

Only on October 29th, tickets range from $11 to $33 for ages 21 and up. You can expect to hear from Afrobeats and Hip-hop DJs like DJ Nitro, DJ Ola, and even DJ Mohogany

The Village Halloween Parade

There is no Halloween event list without including the NYC annual parade, which has been around for 50 years this fall. This Tuesday, October 31st, you can join many others with costumes and fun through Greenwich Village. The amount of costumes and paradegoers is endless as they roam the streets with pride and joy. More than 50,000 New Yorkers come together to celebrate the spirit of Halloween from 7 to 11 p.m. 

The Village Halloween parade theme is Upside Down Inside Out and runs from Sixth Avenue to 15th Street in the West Village area. You can watch the parade at home on channel NY1 from 8:30- 9:30 p.m. if you don’t want to miss out.
