Richmond’s Young Playas Deliver Smooth New Release “Let’s Cruise” Ft. Crash

Hailing from Richmond, California, and consisting of Cory Ellis, DatDamn Perkins, Zam, Bundle, LA Tha Most, and Black Stackz, Young Playas is a versatile and multi-faceted rap group that Respect My Region wants you to look out for. Three albums and one EP deep, Young Playas have been dropping their own brand of sleek, energetic rap and hip hop since 2018.

Whether it’s a feel-good hype anthem or a cold-blooded banger, Young Playas have the talent to kill it and make it their own. Their latest six-song EP, “Ego Tripping”, sees the collective building off of their established sound and adding to it with even sleeker production and major lyrical energy.

A stand-out among the six tracks is the single, “Let’s Cruise” feat. Crash. The record embodies its title and hits you with an immediate, smooth wave of watery guitars and chilled-out atmosphere. The track evolves into a sleek, carefree anthem about keeping it real.
