From making hits such as “Topanga” and “Who Needs Love,” his latest collaboration will soon be added to this list. For Young Thug, he’s been working for years maintaining his grind. It’s safe to say he almost always has a project ready to go. There are even rumors via Complex that him and Chris Brown might be working on a mixtape. Regardless, both artists create a great duo in their latest release.
One of the biggest strengths in “YELL OH” is how similar their flows are throughout. The combination of their similar yet varying styles make the song more cohesive overall. From delivering punchline after punchline over a fast-paced beat, there’s never a dull moment. The booming 808’s are a highlight in the instrumental. In addition, the simplicity of the instrumental provides room for both of their vocals.
Produced by Aidan Cullen and directed by William Child, the music video shares the same energy and message that is conveyed in the lyrics. The animations throughout are definitely one of the most impressive aspects of the video.
